Our Philosophy

We believe in a strong community, in living locally and supporting our friends and neighbors who own small businesses. We believe that we can change the world, and make it better, by really living in our own community. Everything that happens at Lake Anne is about living locally.

Have you heard of the 3/50 Project? It says that if half the employed population spent only $50/month in independently owned businesses locally, it would generate $42.6B in revenue. For every $100 spent in independently owned stores, $68 returns to the community in payroll, taxes, and other expenditures.

Just imagine what that would mean to our local economy.

So our mission is to provide great shops and restaurants in which to spend that money locally.
